| Description | Painted wooden sheath. Kidney-shaped top (wrangka) with on one side a large bird (Garuda?), holding in his beak and claws a snake (naga), flanked by (at left) a winged monkey (one of Hanuman's army?), and (at right) a winged elephant-headed human figure (holding the snake's tail). On the other side, a dark green water buffalo, its head attacked by a rearing leopard, its tail grasped by a pot-bellied human figure. Body of sheath (gandar) covered on both sides with imbrication of light and dark green scale-like crescents filled with gold. |
