Description

One of a series of woodblock prints with color depicting the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895. This print shows the aftermath of the Great Battle of Pyongyang. A Japanese officer on horseback is pictured, possibly Major General Oshima, reviewing his troops. There are inscriptions in red in the margins and a seal and signature for the artist Yukawa Hiromitsu.
