| Description | One of a series of woodblock prints with color depicting the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895. This print shows a bugler, Army Private Kiguchi Kohei, falling from his horse after being wounded during the battle of Songhwan on July 24, 1894. A Chinese soldier is in black, lying on the ground. There are inscriptions in red in the margins and a seal and signature for the artist Yukawa Hiromitsu. |
