| Description | White marble, patinated. Mended; complete except for large chip at front. Shaft lacking. Frontal head, beard in long, vertical corkscrew curls. Hair is bound by a fillet which is tied in back and with long dependent ends. At each side of the head, below, is a square cutting for the insertion of the projecting "arms" of the herm. Thought to be Dionysus or possibly Faunus. |
