Flat base, beveled, flaring neck, one vertical loop handle upper body to base of neck, plain black

Narrow-necked jar/bottle with a carinated body, hyperboloid neck, flattened rim, 1 strap handle extending from the neck to the body, and a flat base. There are no molded/modeled additions and no decoration. There appears to be a burnished finish on the exterior. The vessel was likely fired in a reducing atmosphere as the surface is black and the interior is gray in color. Fireclouding is present on the body. The catalogue number is written in black ink on the interior of neck. Black ink on the interior of neck reads: "2849."
