Description

Atlatl with finger loops of hide or sinew 3.5" from end. Bound within the fastenings on upper side is wild cat tooth. Beyond finger loops the stick is wrapped with skin or fur and bound with yucca cord, holding in place on upper side a chalcedony knife or spear point, and on under side a small limonite concretion. X-ray photograph shows string of beads under wrapping.
