| Description | Woman's work basket. Cylindrical: cover with rattle disc. Spruce root; 2-strand twining with false embroidery. Design: basket-- lozenges, shark's tooth, and butterfly; lid-- stickelback spawn and (centre) porpoise. Technical notes: twined, close twined, two-strand, in-between weave (with plain), wrapped weft ("false embroidery"); 15 warps and 18 wefts per square inch. |
