| Description | Sommerville: Antique paste cameo. The infant Bacchus on a goat. Antique Pastes, Case YYY. Vermeule: Glass Paste-Blue. Cameo. (Unmounted) Infant on back of goat. Sommerville identifies as Bacchus; Vermeule as Zeus. A similar composition occurs on Roman bronze medallions of the emperor Antoninus Pius (A.D. 138-161). |
