| Description | Woman's belt. Purple cotton ground. Brocaded in geometric designs with silk embroidery thread. One end has loose fringe the other has been braided. Woven in Totonicapan. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 96 epi, two ply, purple cotton. Two singles, Z twist, peach cotton. Weft: 18 ppi, multiple strands, peach cotton. Warp faced plain weave. Supplementary weft is two faced. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
