| Description | A quadrangular toki pounamu (nephrite adze blade) made of kawakawa (common variety of New Zealand greenstone). It is flat with no tang. One end has a bevelled edge, the other end is somewhat rough. Pounamu is thought of as an ideal material to be shaped into cutting tools, as it is durable and the cutting edge is not blunted easily. |
