| Description | Sommerville: Antique paste. Ceres. A very fine and beautiful intaglio. Antique Pastes, Case ZZZ. Vermeule: Intaglio. Glass paste, imitating sard. (Unmounted) Female kneeling to right, at a bowl. Two stalks of grain grow beside her and an eagle with a sceptre flies above. A small cult image, perhaps of Priapus, appears to emerge from the pot. A ritual scene. Italo-Etruscan. |
