| Description | Three-dimensional puppet (wayang golek) with wooden head, torso and arms articulated at shoulders and elbows. Cotton skirt. Operated by wooden stick which passes through hole in torso and into base of head and by sticks attached to hands. White face, straight nose, narrow eyes, black hair curving to top of head (kadal menek). Head bowed. Green medallion in center of forehead. Torso and arms gold, with red and white bracelets. Batik skirt: blue, light brown and white with elephant on front. On base of torso, in ink: Erdjuna / XVIII / 52. Character is Arjuna, one of the Pandawa in the Hindu epic Mahabharata. |
