| Description | Cylindrical spruce root basket. Finely woven, with vertical zig-zag pattern in a raised weave occurring about ever 2 1/2" on surface. Three horizontal bands of design in a dark brown fibre with some yellow. Technical notes: twined, close twined, two-strand, three-strand, diagonal/twill twining, wrapped weft ("false embroidery"); 16 warps and 20 wefts per square inch. Zig-zag pattern; possibly related to 30-11-4. Salmon head and flying geese designs. |
