Description

One of five projectile points with same number. One is fluted, quasi-lanceolate; well-defined basal ears which are rounded and ground down. Blade edges constrict slightly above ears, are straight to middle of blade, then convex to the tip. Median ridge extends down one face from tip to near middle of blade. Basally ground between ears and up edges to 24 mm. Except for minor channel finishing flakes, fluting on both faces described by removal of a single broad flake ending in hinge fractures. 27 x 19 mm and 16 x 15 mm respectively (L. given first). Fine blade flaking with some rippling. Few hinge fractures. Very fine grained brown jasper - source unknown.
