| Description | Two unsewn huipil panels, each has four selvedges. One of the selvedges on each panel is sewn into a 3" hem. Warp stripes are predominantly red with purple, white, green, yellow. One wide border with two rows of animals and zig-zag. Red, purple, yellow, green cotton and purple, turquoise silk weft brocading. As per Sigrid Meier 1997, "Warp: 66 epi three singles Z-twist cotton multi-colors. Weft; 8 ppi three singles Z-twist white cotton. Plain weave, warp-faced. Supplementary weft: two-faced." |
