| Description | Miniature khanda sword talisman. This is one of a set of talismans (pancha shastra) from Amritsar, in the Punjab, such as the natives wear in their head-cloths or turbans. They are symbolic of the weapons of defense carried by their Sikh warrior ancestors called the Nihang or Akali. |
