| Description | Round, wooden Katsina doll. The face is painted green with rectangular eyes and an inverted triangle mouth. The forehead has a red and black horizontal band with a notch between the eyes. The ears are circular blossoms with a feather sticking out. Two black horns rise from the head, each with a white-painted, zigzag design. The body is painted white and red. This figure is may be a variation of the Big Horn Sheep (Pang) Katsina or a variation of the Antelope (Chof or Chub) Katsina.. |
