| Description | Long rectangular net of knotted netting, used by men. It is fitted with transverse stakes which are planted in the sand across the mouth of a small cove or to form a curve in the shallow water along the shore. The fish get caught by their heads in the meshes of the net, especially when moving outwards with the ebbtide. |
