| Description | Cap portion (kasa 笠) for a bronze lantern. This acts as an umbrella over the firebox to protect the lantern. There are symbols on the side of the piece, one is a rinbo or horin wheel. There are six sides with radiating ridges which terminate in a curling bracket called warabite 蕨手 only two of which are partially intact, the rest are missing. Six bells hang off the brackets. |
