| Description | A Hopi Katsina mask worn during the Mixed Katsina Dance (Soyohim). The mask is made from thick animal hide and the front is painted black. A white star is painted over the nose and curved lines are painted on the cheeks, forehead, and above the eyes, possibly warrior symbols. A double row of white circles is painted at the top of the mask. The mouth is missing but there is an opening where it would attach. |
