| Description | Conical cup with flat outturned rim, convex profile, and slight base; concentric string marks on bottom. Medium textured, reddish yellow (5 YR 6/6) clay. Wiped with water. Wheelmade. Undecorated. Intact. Comments: MM III-LM IB. Burn marks on the rim on one side indicate use as a lamp. Conical cups without handles in several simple designs are common at all MM III-LM I sites in Crete. For their cultural implications see Weiner 1984.
