| Description | Black slip jug; Incomplete; Fragmentary; approximately one-half of rim missing; small piece missing from body; base chipped; slip slightly worn; surface abraded in places. Ring base; ovoid body with greatest diameter toward belly; short nearly straight neck, flaring slightly toward rim; plain loosely pinched rim; vertical handle from rim to shoulder. Shallow incised lines encircling lower shoulder and lower body just above base; carelessly executed wide shallow vertical flutes on body. Underside of base not generally slipped, but some slip dribbled across underside of base. |
