| Description | This Ainu coat, attus (アットゥㇱ), is made out of the inner bark fiber from a tree. The bark was softened by soaking it in running water until it could be twisted and woven into cloth using a loom. These pieces were then stitched together and cotton was appliqued to the surface. |
