| Description | White faience shabti belonging to the Mayor, Pennut. The front surface of the shabti is blackened, possibly from the firing process. The shabti has a tripartite wig, with molded ears. Hands are modeled, but due to the surface damage, do not currently hold adzes. A text column runs down the front of the shabti's legs, and retains a portion of the name of Pennut. The shabti lacks a painted basket. |
