Pottery. Jar Base Sherd - flat disc base. Red painted/burnished white slip ware. Wheelmade. Paste - orange, fine. Inside - matte orange. Outside - smoothed, cream slipped with brown painted cross across bottom, brown line at turn from body to base, some burnishing.
