| Description | Fluted trianguloid. Well-defined basal ears which are rounded and ground down. Blade edges straight and parallel to midpoint of blade, then converge sharply to tip. Basally ground between ears and for 17mm along both edges. Fluting on one face by removal of single long, broad channel flake complimented in width by a smaller slake removal scar (L. of this flute 20mm; overall W. 14mm). Opposite facial fluting by two channel flakes. Unsuccessful attempt to remove a deep channel flake in center resulted in abrupt hinge fracture 2mm above basal edge. Probably was attempt at triple-channel fluting characteristics of enterline industry. Other flaking is generally broad and short with almost no hinge fracturing. Manufactured of fine-grained brown jasper. |
