| Description | A fish trap made of woven bamboo (Bambusa sp. ไม้ไผ่บ้าน) which narrows at the mouth and gradually widens towards the base. There is a string tied to the mouth as a handle. There is also a piece of stick tied to the top. The bottom has a hole in the center. It is not flat but has raised sides. This is a trap for shrimp and minnows (pla chio ปลาซิว) which is baited with bran or roasted sticky rice. It is staked in August and September in smallish streams. |
