| Description | A government office note (札役所札). This was issued by the Asada clan (麻田) in Settsu province (西宮), present day Hyogo prefecture. The denomination is one monme of silver (銀壹匁). It dates to the Edo period.There is an image of Benzaiten at the top on the obverse and a pair of rocks connected by a rope with a sun in the background amidst waves on the reverse. |
