| Description | A purchase bill for raw sardines (生鰯買入手形). This was issued in Shiraishi (白石) in Bitchu province (備中), present day Okayama prefecture. The denomination is one monme (壹匁). It dates to 1865 CE (慶応元 Keio 1 [乙]丑年 kinoto ushi). The obverse has an image of Daikoku at the top with a wish granting jewel below and two stylized dragons at the bottom. |
