| Description | A Daitoku-in Temple government office loan bill (大徳院御役所御貸附手形) issued in Kii (紀伊) province, present day Wakayama prefecture. The denomination is one monme of silver (銀壹匁). It dates to 1866 CE (慶応貳 Keio 2 year). This is a temple note associated with Koyasan (高野山). The obverse has an image of Daikoku at the top and the reverse has a pair of dragons and waves. It resembles a hansatsu (clan note) but is more likely a shi-satsu or private issue note. See also 29-222-14J. |
