| Description | A rice stamp (米切手). This was issued by the village of Kakuyama (香久山村) in Yamato province (大和) in present day Nara prefecture. The denomination is one monme of silver (銀壹匁). It is dated to 1865 CE (慶応元年 Keio 1 year, 乙丑 Younger brother of wood Ox = 1865). The reverse has the Seven Gods of Good Luck Treasures. |
