| Description | A laborer's wage bill for the Kawachi exclave (河内飛地領内人足賃手形). Issued by the Tatebayashi (館林) clan out of Kawachi province, now modern day Osaka prefecture. Kawachi was also known as Kashu (河州) which appears on the note. The denomination is one hundred mon (銭百文). It dates to November of 1868 CE (明治元戊辰 年十一月). There are two dragons with a wish granting jewel on the obverse. |
