| Description | Seated ceramic figure with drum. Glazed red above waist, and white glazed bwloe. Drum is glazed red on sides; white on top. Figure is seated with hands on drum. Knees bend with feet touching base of drum. Right arm has five black bands on upper part; left arm painted with one solid band of black and white stripes. Neckband is black with white spots. Ear ornaments painted with many black bands with white spots. Headdress is made of two white bands encircling head with beige disc attahced to them at the center of the forehead. Figure's back has a white strip painted down the spinal column with hyellow dots. There are other yellow lines runing off from the spin horizontally on each side. Found in Bob Sharer's Office (433) on Jan. 4, 2013. Was part of Walter Piper Accession in 1972 (fakes). |
