| Description | Short wooden handle; rawhide lashing fits in carved out slots at one end and looped through hole. Long lashing braided; at end it splits into two braided lengths which are fringed; remnants of red feathers at top. Wrist hanger of buffalo attached by thong through handle; edged with white beads, some pony beads; beaded with 4 horizontal bands of small bead in panels alternately red, blue with some yellow beads at junction of panels and also a few small tin jingles. Below tie, hanger is divided into two long tabs, inside edged with blue pony beads; beaded with white and yellow, some missing. beading crude, but whip is good. |
