| Description | Black Bowl with a squat-globular body, no neck/collar, flanged rim, 2 strap handles on the body, and a rounded base. There are no molded/modeled additions and no decoration. There appears to be a burnished finish on the exterior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is in color. Evidence of usewear includes soot on the exterior and residue/accretions on the interior. The catalogue number is written on the bottom of the base. No other numbers are visible on the object. |
