| Description | Wooden Katsina doll of two figures carved from one piece of wood. Both figures are painted brown and have exaggerated and protruding facial features. Each is wearing only a painted kilt and moccasins. One standing figure holds the smaller figure on its back. This figure is Tuhavi, the paralyzed Mudhead (Koyemsi) Katsina, who was carried by a blind Mudhead and served as his eyes. Made by Henry Fred. (Colton, H. 1959 #59, Wright, B., 1973 #238) |
