| Description | One of a series of woodblock prints with color depicting the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895. This print shows Captain Matsuzaki on horseback charging into the battle of Songhwan with a group of soldiers. A small village is visible in the background with a tall tree in the center of the image. There are inscriptions in red in the margins and a seal and signature for the artist Yukawa Hiromitsu. |
