| Description | Fragment of lip and upper wall of skyphos. Interior fully glazed. Exterior reserved, with decoration in dull black glaze. Very low lip, canted slightly outward in profile. Convex wall. A wheel glazed band on exterior of lip, another at top of wall. To left on wall: 2 vertical lines. Below, 3 horizontal lines. In panel thus formed are parts of 2 horizontal, narrow, rectilinear motifs, each formed by two bordering lines with vertical hatching between them. Light brown clay. Identification by Nicolas Coldstream on visit 8 Apr 82. |
