| Description | Square for wife of seventh rank official to be worn on back of robe. At center Mandarin Duck looks back at sun as it stands on a rocky bank in the foreground beside the sea. In the distance is a mountain with stream and pagoda. Auspicious plants include bamboo and flowers. Couched gold thread border. Satin stitch, stem satin stitch, Peking knot and couchin used with blue-black satin ground. Blue silk backing. |
