| Description | Chakla wall hanging. Generally made in matching pairs. The design is drawn on first. The piece is made of dyed cotton thread embroidered on undyed plain-weave cotton using mostly close herringbone stitch with no outline stitch. It also has a stem stitch, mirror work, and chain stitch. Two-ply twisted thread is used for the chain stitch. |
