| Description | The simple gourd resonator has become detached. The resonator end is neither cleft nor has a cross-piece like Ankermann's illustration, but it curved and has a tenon for the string , the bent quill is wanting. There is a "knee" about the middle of the stave. Crudely made, perhaps a copy; or considering the irregularities, perhaps an intrusive West African example. |
