Description

Composite arrow: reed shaft, black hardwood point, lashed-on bone (?) barbs. Originally five barbs - two have broken off at base, one half way. Below the barbs, 6 cm. of decorative woven wrapping, brown and natural, in geometric patterns. Criss-cross binding at juncture of point and shaft, and at end of shaft. Not nocked. Exhibited at l'Exposition universelle de Paris 1900.
