| Description | Robe made of 2 3/8 strips woven of undyed cotton; in the body area the strips run vertically and have been folded so they are half as wide; the strips in the sleeves run horizontally; rectangular pocket on the front; embroidered with geometric and curvilinear designs on the front and back; seam at bottom of sleeves and joining front and back of body at the bottom; bottom lined with cloth with purple, black, blue, and white stripes. North Nigeria. |
