| Description | Split bamboo woven over palm leaf; [from Civic Center card] Large round conically-shaped hat of three layers; outer layer open-weave split bamboo except top of crown which is close-weave; small metal disc is encased at top of crown; middle layer is of overlapping palm leaves, the outer surface painted black; inner layer of open weave bamboo splints; three circular bamboo strips are evenly spaced near edge of brim both in the interior and exterior hat is lashed to circular rim of wood. |
