| Description | A flat tan leather pouch consisting of a single piece folded twice and laced with leather to form the body of the pouch and large flap which ends in a point; the interior of the pouch is divided in half by a single piece of leather folded to form a smaller interior flap, the end of which is cut into a double ogee design; outer flap is decorated with incised parallel lines and a curvilinear applique of leather and silk embroidered threads (red, blue, green, and yellow); the interior face is decorated with incised crossing lines and curvilinear appliques of leather and silk threads in lower right and left hand corners; the back is decorated with simple incised crossing lines; a broad strap is attached to the upper right and left hand corners; the outer flap fastens to the bottom front of the pouch with a leather loop and fastener. |
