Description

A sample of bark used for dyeing. A piece of paper with handwriting reads: "BARK used chiefly as a MORDANT in DYEING with madder and lac Baceaurea Sapida BURMA". A label with the piece reads: "BACCAUREA BARK Used a mordant in dyeing". Another piece with handwriting reads: "Bark of Baccaurea Sapida used for Dyeing Burma Paris Exhib. 1900".
