| Description | Body-sherd from a large closed vessel. Coarse, pinkish gray (7.5 YR 7/2) clay, with decoration in black paint and added red paint. Chevrons or foliate ornament (?). Added red: lines between the dark petals. Comments: Compare the decorations on rhyta like MS4704.6, but more likely the motif is like Hawes et al. 1908: 39, fig. 19 (Gournia). |
