| Description | Rim-sherd from a cup. Fine, pink (7.5YR 7/4) clay, with decoration in dark reddish brown paint. Wiped with water (or slipped?), not burnished. Interior painted. Band on rim; rosette like motif above band. Comments: LM II-IIIA. The deate is based on the shape. For this motif used in isolation at Gournia see Hawes et al. 1908: 43, fig. 23, nos. 3 and 5. |
