| Description | Jug with high spout; ridge at juncture between neck and shoulder. Fine, pink (7.5YR 7/4) clay with decoration in red to black paint. Wiped with water and burnished. Interior unpainted. Dark paint on spout; frieze of dots on neck; band at juncture between neck and shoulder; spirals on upper shoulder; remainder not preserved. Upper part of vessel, restored from sherds. From a jug like Hawes et al. 1908: pl. 8, no. 17 (Gournia). |
