Elliptical bark cloth beater with grooves in a grid pattern (54 crosswise X 36 lengthwise). Exhibited at l'Exposition universelle de Paris 1900. New Caledonia. See Marchal, Boulay, and Kasarherou (1990). Similar to 1995.X.16164.
